Gang Lin, PhD
Gang Lin is a Scientific Advisor and co-founder of Ipinovyx Bio. He is the Associate Professor of Research at Weill Cornell Medicine. Interested in the drug-discovery in the field of Ubiquitin Proteasome System in eukaryotes and Pup Proteasome System in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. He has published over 35 papers spanning multiple disciplines, including medchem, biochemistry, enzymology, microbiology, structure-biology, oncology, and immunology. He has 10 patents and patent applications in this field. He discovered the first species-selective proteasome inhibitor for Mycobacterium tuberculosis proteasome over host proteasomes and followed with selective proteasome inhibitors for malarial parasites and selective inhibitors for human immunoproteasome over standard proteasome. Dr. Lin earned his Ph.D. degree in medchem from the West China Medical University. He gained his knowledge in biology disciplines via postdoc experience.
